Greetings Parents and Athletes, That’s right!! It will soon be time to begin a new Fort Collins Track Club USA Track & Field indoor season. Congratulations to all the athletes on a great season both indoors and outdoors in 2011. We had many successes and personal bests during the 2011 indoor season ending with another great trip to Idaho and a couple of podium finishes at the Simplot games. The outdoor season was filled with many outstanding performances including top three finishes for Audra Koopman, Rebecca Finley and Lauren Gregory at the National JO meet in Witchita Kansas. Oh, and by the way, Lauren also won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in the midget girls 1500. I am proud of all of you and I look forward to more thrills in 2012. We are having a parents meeting and registration on Tuesday, December 6th, 7:00 p.m. at the Harmony Library meeting room. The Harmony Library is located at Harmony and Shields on the Front Range Community College Campus. The library is at the west end of the campus. It is important that athletes and their parents attend this meeting so we can determine the correct sizes for the uniforms. Please bring a registration form, liability waiver, and a merchandise order form for each athlete. Please bring the forms and a copy of each athletes birth certificate to the registration meeting. Registration fees for the 2012 indoor season will be $215.00 per athlete. Your club registration includes the shorts and singlet, USAT&F membership for 2012, all meet entry fees, the use of the practice facility during scheduled practice times and friendly, knowledgable coaches. We would like to take care of as many registrations as possible at this meeting so we do not have to use too much practice time once we begin. If you cannot attend the parents meeting, please mail your registration and order form to: FCTC, 1231 Westwood Drive, Windsor, CO 80550 or bring everything to the first practice. Every athlete will receive competition shorts and top with club registration. If you prefer other uniform choices (speedsuits, etc.), they must be purchased separately. There is an order form for uniforms, warm-ups, and other garments if you choose to purchase them. Please bring your orders to the meeting on December 6th, so you can have your order filled in time for the season. If parents or siblings would like to order a t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc. they should be included on the same order form. We will have samples of most items at the meeting. There will be many opportunities for parents to help out during the season. Fort Collins Track Club has several responsibilities at the indoor meets as well as hosting a meet on January 7th.
